On Sunday, March 24th, 2025, we came together for our first quarterly membership meeting of the year which was a powerful moment of reflection, connection, and collective purpose.
We began by reviewing the work that APALA Seattle Chapter has done in the past year and the importance in building our work bridging the community and labor. From our partnership through the City of Seattle Office of Labor Standards to talking about the recent APALA Delegation to the Philippines.
Our members then reflected on the current state of our country. Through open dialogue and shared stories, we reaffirmed the critical role we play in defending rights fought for by those before us. These conversations are not just meaningful but necessary. As forces continue to attack the progress we've made, our strength lies in action, in community, and in solidarity.
APALA Seattle looks froward to creating more spaces for conversation and collective action as we strengthen our movement.
The membership meeting then ended with electing our officers. On behalf of our Election Committee, we sincerely appreciate the space you all graciously provided for us to conduct our elections. We are proud to announce our newly officers and board members for the 2025-2027 term for our Seattle Chapter.
